The world is not enough

Born in Erlangen, I spent my early childhood in the Persian Gulf. My first professional experiences took me to Russia and then halfway around the world, in the style of a real agent. My responsibilities were always in development and sales in a wide variety of industries, such as telecommunications, water extraction, wastewater treatment and traffic engineering. After all these stations, I stuck to what fascinated me as a child: my C64.

I dared to become a founder with a start-up in the IT industry and built up a company that established itself in Germany with IT security, information security and IT infrastructure, with Europe-wide sales and international logistics. The successful exit took place in 2018. At the same time, we have been promoting new ideas and innovative start-ups since 2015, which we still do today.

As a native of Hanover, I actually wanted to study art history after my Abitur. However, curiosity drove me into a new branch of education in 1999: IT. As one of the first female IT system administrators, I got an early taste of IT and have remained in IT Sales & Business Development ever since.

Together, Troy and I built our IT company, with me responsible for building and expanding customer and vendor relationships. With a good go-to-market concept and the right staff selection, I was also able to establish our second location and our company brand in the region. Later, I specialised in information security and IT security awareness and still advise and train employees in companies today. After the successful exit in 2018, I now pass on my knowledge and experience to other start-ups.
In addition, I am committed to women and girls in IT and provide information about career opportunities through presentations at e.g. training fairs. I want to get young girls interested in this profession, encourage them to take up an apprenticeship and get them excited about an IT profession.
